SUPERVISED VISITATION -
At SafeHaven of the Ozarks, you'll find a safe, inviting setting where families in crisis are encouraged to heal with our supervised visitation services. Our comfortable, home-like setting encourages positive family relationships and is designed to enhance the process of healthy bonding between parent and child. Our supervised visitation services are for children in foster care as well as children involved in divorce or custody disputes.
Families who come to SafeHaven will find a house with toys and games, comfortable furnishings, and a yard with outdoor activities. Parents will be encouraged to bond with their child through such activities as reading a book in front of the fireplace, baking cookies together in SafeHaven's kitchen, playing catch in the backyard, playing air hockey, wiil games and board games, or watching a movie together as they munch on popcorn.
We also do supervised visitation off-site when needed and at community locations.
Parents may fulfill court-ordered Parenting Education requirements through individual and group parenting classes. A special curriculum is offered for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. Additional parenting classes are provided to parents who themselves were victims of physical or sexual abuse.
